In my search for a decent daily smoke, I tried several ‘budget’ cigars. I already tried the Oliva G, and the La Estrella Polar, wich both were just fine, but I also wanted to test the Flor de Oliva Churchill.
This budget Oliva has a medium brown wrapper with few veins and overall a smooth appearance. It feels sturdy, and well constructed.
The nose offers hints of cedar, earth, and a hint of spice.
Upon lighting, the cigar delivers a smooth and creamy smoke with flavors of cedar, leather, and a touch of pepper. As the smoke progresses, notes of coffee and roasted nuts emerge, adding a little bith of depth to the overall profile.
The aftertast is pleasant, medium-long, and most notable are some toasted nuts and a subtle sweetness.
Overall, the Oliva Flor de Oliva Churchill is a nice cigar for it’s buck.
